"We asked Opus to quote on a kitchen cabinet to replace a table top style bench in our kitchen. The other cabinetry in the room was built from recycled rimu and we wanted the new unit to be complementary. David was involved with the design and completely understood what we were wanting to achieve . He brought experience and practicality to the design process as well as innovation and creativity. He was never phased by our less than ordinary requirements, in fact he seemed delighted with the challenge.
The end result was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The cabinet is built very authentically - all solid wood with dovetailed joins and butt hinges and not a plastic component in sight . It could have been built fifty years ago which is exactly as we wished. David went out of his way to source the gorgeous recycled timber and hardware, even finding a perfect vintage style louvered iron vent in Australia, for the microwave cupboard.
This is bespoke joinery so does not come at a kitchen factory price but we could not have hoped for a better outcome . David's enthusiasm and attention for detail made him a pleasure to work with and if you choose to work with Opus Libero I am certain you will not be disappointed" – Graham

"The team at Opus Libero have a wonderful work philosophy and ethic. We have commissioned several character pieces: a beautiful solid french oak library, an oak desk with some complicated mechanisms to make the desk rise and fall from sitting to standing position, so not an easy design by any means, and lastly, wainscote panelling which David thoroughly researched to come up with an authentic design.

David listened carefully and was able to interpret our vision, virtually with the first drawing. For the wainscote panelling, he brought a substantial mock-up to our home which made it easier to visualise where the panelling should start and finish.
