We are under a green wood tree!

  • We try as much as possible to source our timber from recycled or naturally fallen wood. . .this includes Rimu, Kauri and Matai. Also demolition Oregon, when we are able to get it, makes very characteristic furniture. . .we made all the joinery and exposed roof trusses for an earth house in Whangaparaoa with Oregon from the demolished Huntly town hall which in turn had been made from timber imported from Canada over a century ago!!
  • Our second option is to use sustainable plantation grown timber such as oak from North America or France.
  • We may also use Southland Beech from sustainable woodlands. . . this is a very pretty native timber for furniture.
